While some retreat weekends are more about getting away and hanging out (which is NOT a bad thing), DNow Weekend puts a high premium on discipleship.
Students will be hosted in homes of our church family around Melissa. Excellent college-aged students will lead the small groups over the course of the weekend.
This is a great opportunity for different generations within the church to get involved and fellowship with one another.
One of the coolest trends at DNow, is the opportunity to take part in a missions project in our community. Every year, we spend some time on the Saturday of the weekend collecting non-perishable food items to help stock the Melissa Community Outreach Food Pantry in town. This gives our students the opportunity to make a difference in their community and for our community to see the love of Jesus through them.
There are both large group and small group sessions that will focus on why Jesus is Greater. The bible says in Colossians 1:15-17 that “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by Him all things were created, in Heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities all things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.” We want to teach our students to stand up for what they believe and to speak boldly about their faith.
Please make an easy decision and be a part of the best weekend of the year!
